• Symptoms of Gill Flukes (Gyrodactylus sp.) include swollen or pale gills, restlessness, excess mucus along the body, scraping against objects, missing scales and a decreased appetite. Flukes are not always visible to the naked eye and can only been see under a microscope.
• Symptoms of Eye Flukes include excessive mucus forming around the eye area of your fish, or signs of cloudiness or swelling within the eyes.
• Symptoms of Internal Flukes include stringy or translucent waste, loss of appetite, a sunken stomach area or signs of rapid weight loss.

Directions for Using PraziPro®

Experts suggest the quarantine of a new fish can significantly decrease the chances of parasite introduction into your tank. We recommend you start with a cycled hospital tank, with clean, properly conditioned water to prevent the spread of disease to your main tank.

Before Adding PraziPro® to your tank, remove any driftwood, carbon filters, chemical filters or porous rock before dosing as it can render the solution ineffective. Protein Skimmers and UV Sterilizers must be turned off as they can reduce effectiveness. Always use a sulfur or sulfate-based water conditioners as they detoxify ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate and eliminate signs of chlorine & chloramines commonly found in tap water. Start each treatment with at least 30% water change after properly calculating the tank volume.
