Liquid PraziPro® is a highly effective solution for treating a variety of internal parasites. You can use the non-toxic disease treatment in both freshwater and saltwater tanks for treating flukes, tapeworms, flatworms and turbellarians.

Proven Active Ingredient with a Safe History

Prazipro® is a scientifically curated liquid solution for treating fishes for disease conditions caused by organisms of the phylum Platyhelminthes. The key ingredient is praziquantel, a commonly known medicine for treating parasitic infections in humans. PraziPro® is non-toxic when used as directed and harmless to all fish species and plants. This includes:

  • cichlids (e.g. discus and angelfish)
  • catfish (e.g. plecostomus and corydoras species)
  • cyprinids (e.g. the carp family, including goldfish, koi, barbs and danios)
  • saltwater species (e.g. angelfishes, anemonefishes, tangs, cardinalfish and lionfish)

Use liquid PraziPro® at the rate of one (1) teaspoon (~5mL) per 20 (76 L) gallons of water in ponds, freshwater and saltwater aquariums. To calculate the full volume of your tank water, you can use an aquarium water volume calculator online (courtesy of Bulk Reef Supply) for your specific environment. Best of all, our proprietary liquid formula assures the active ingredient is present in the exact concentration required for optimum success!

Directions for PraziPro®

Experts suggest the quarantine of a new fish can significantly decrease the chances of parasite introduction into your tank. We recommend you start with a cycled hospital tank with clean, properly conditioned water to prevent the spread of disease to your main tank. We recommend a bare-bottom environment with no gravel or substrate, as it will be easier to change the water. A seeded sponge filter is also important to have, as it ensures your hospital tank has the biological action it needs to complete the nitrogen cycle.

Before adding PraziPro® to your tank, remove any carbon filters or chemical filters, as it can render the solution ineffective. Remove any large decorations, porous rock structures or driftwood when possible. Turn off protein skimmers and UV sterilizers as they can reduce effectiveness. Tap water can contain chlorine and/or chloramines along with other things that can cause fish harm. Be sure to use a water conditioner to make your tap water safe, but avoid sulfur or sulfinate-based water conditioners when using PraziPro. We recommend Ultimate® by Aquarium Solutions® as the best option and ClorAm-X® as our second choice.
